SP 7: Process for Analysing Dynamic Vulnerability and Adaptive Capacity

This synthesis product documents some of the many diverse experiences NeWater partners have described in uncovering answers to their research questions. It has become clear over the course of four years of research that the differing contexts and target audiences (e.g. policy audience, community level, or water managers – see diagram) have resulted in different entry points and multiple methods. These methods have been employed by research teams with varied and diverse interdisciplinary skill sets resulting in diverse pathways of analysis. There are valuable lessons we can learn from the experiences of the wide range of researchers attempting to improve Adaptive and Integrated Water Resources management (AIWM) in the NeWater project.
